Christmas is only a few days away. The gifts have been wrapped, groceries have been prepared for that much-awaited Christmas dinner, and the Christmas tree has been set up with the kids’ help. Everything is ready.

As the year comes to end, we at Platinum Homes would like to extend our sincere gratitude for being with us in this wonderful journey. 2012 has been very good and we have learned so many things – things that have made us the builder that we want to become for Hobart and for the rest of Australia. We know that there is still a lot more to develop, and we are honoured to have you witness our every step towards providing better service for you.

This Christmas, we wish you only the best things in your family and home life. Always remember that our home is the most desirable place to be – especially in this most wonderful time of the year. The home is where the family keeps its relationships stronger – be it our relationship with our kids, our parents, our siblings or our partners. Our home is our solace, our refuge, our source of strength as the new year comes along. It is where happy memories are made.

So this Christmas, may you find the happiness and peace of mind that you truly deserve.

Merry Christmas and Best Wishes!

7 Ways to Decorate Your Home This Christmas Season

Christmas is a perfect time to enjoy and bond with friends and family. Parties and gatherings are expected to be held at this time of the year, it only makes sense to get your home to embody the spirit of the season, right? Having said so, here are 7 tips to get your home looking cheerful and lovely this Christmas:

1. Add a pop of color on your main door.

Feature a white-colored entrance with the strong shades of shiny pink and blue balls. Christmas lights allow the entrance and decorations to be seen from the road.

2. Style up your mailbox.

Place a nice bouquet of winter plants or garlands. Add some ornaments and oversized balls to add color.

3. Use garlands and lamps for your entryway.

Organize a collection of joyful lamps at your entryway or porch to help get your visitors in the holiday mood. Consider using electric candles as a worry-free substitute to regular ones.

4. Cover columns with garlands.

If you have stately columns down the hall, accentuate them with spiraling garlands and bright Christmas lights.

5. Fill up glass cylinders with ornaments

Many of you must have at least one of those glass cylinders at home. They can be used as Christmas decorations too by filling them up with balls and other Christmas trinkets.

6. Prettify your chairs.

Embellish your chairs with shiny ribbons or mini wreaths to add to the holiday mood. Choose colors that blend well with the rest of your home decorations.

7. Don’t ignore the staircase

Decorate garland up the handrail of a stairway, and core it with silver and gold charms for a polished Christmas look.
